June 8, 2015 The Real Last Pday

We didn’t get a email again this week, we just “texted” back and forth for a few minutes.  I did get his last email from the week before saying they got to go to an Auto Sufficiency Class (Self Reliance) and a trip to the temple.  Then he said that they were going to a soccer stadium, The BOCA!  I told him that I was still working on his letter and he told me, “No, it’s fine.  I’ll just see you next week anyways!  Haha =D (does that feel good to hear?)  I asked him what Auto Sufficiency was and he said it’s just talking about finances and getting a job and stuff like that.  I asked him if he was going to go to the Zoo.  He said, “Yeah! But the zoo here isn’t that cool.  It’s small and boring.  We have passed by it at least 4000 times and it’s expensive.  I’m not that sad I didn’t make it.”  Then I told him that we had a couple of jobs lined up for him when he went to school.  He said, “should I be nervous cuz I kinda am.”  We told him that he might be able to get a job at Wells Fargo and he was excited about that.  He’d work there in a heart beat.  Then he told me that he had issues with his SD card from his camera.  “So I gotta tell you bad news…my memory card broke.  I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but I had taken pics last week and this week and when I took my camera out on Saturday, the camera wasn’t working.  So I took the memory card out and the camera works GREAT!  But I put the card in the computer of a member and half the pics were gone.  Then 2 mins late all of the pics were gone.  =( I’m sure they are still there, just damaged  I don’t know =( but that’s why there aren’t many pics today. Then he told me he didn’t care what the schedule was when he got home, he just wanted to drive home.  “Alright, well I’m out!  Sorry these last weeks sucked as emails but we’ll talk later.  Maybe I’ll try to get on later today!

June 1, 2015 Last Pday

For some reason, Connor's lds email wasn't working today, so I got a quick email from his personal email.  We "texted" back and forth for a few minutes, and he sent a couple of pictures.  I had sent him the topic that was given to him for his Homecoming talk, "As a disciple of Jesus Christ, we must endure to the end by consistently coming unto Christ" and using Elder Pearson's recent conference talk titled "Stay by the Tree".  I asked him if he was moving, but he said they wouldn't move on pday.  Then he asked for some souvenir money because "they were going to go to this shopping place where you can get everything really cheap!  It's called plaza Once.  And so we are going to go over there because up until now I don't really have anything.  I got a couple jerseys for me.  I got one mate cup.  I just recently bought 2 flags, one of Argentina and one of a soccer team, and then a couple things I can give away like a scarf, and ya.  So I'm gonna see what I can get.  Anything particular you want?  (oh, I'm getting all candy and food related items right before I leave."  I asked him to get something traditional for Taymar, a dress or something and he said he'd find something Mini Mouse.  haha.  Then he told me that he has to sign up for classes for BYU-I on June 12.  He got permission from Prez to get on the comp and sign up and he says it doesn't matter the hour or anything.  So don't worry about it, I'll get on and do that as soon as possible.  Then I asked him if anyone was coming home to AZ with him.  I knew that there was a huge group that was all coming home at the same time.  Like 26.  He said. "from my mission, I am the only gone going to Arizona.  But I'm sure there will be other missionaries from other missions.  I couldn't tell you that exactly, but I know that from my mission I am the only one."  The he said, "Well, this computer has some real problems!  So I'm not sure if you'll get like a real letter.  I will try to send one later!  know that we are working hard.  We are working on Cristian Baptism! =D and just getting everything ready!  We are happy.  We get along!  and we are working really hard!  My testimony has grown so strong! And just in this last week I have learned so much!  Love you and have a great week!

May 26, 2015 Zone Activity (Roller Blading & Biking) Mission Activity (Soccer, BBQ & Meet the Mormons)

Hello! Well this was a really good week!
We have been working with the Kid named Cristian! He is really awesome! His parents are really inactive! But he has so many desires to come to church and be baptized! His parents let him go to church with us on Sunday!"  And so that was really cool!
We also got to meet a guy called Daniel that just barely got here from Peru! He had gone to church a couple times in Peru but he’s not baptized and so we got to meet him and he went to church. He even came in a suit and tie and was participating and everything! It was really cool! He is the boyfriend of a member and so we went to go eat lunch with them and he was there and it was just like a great blessing! And so on Wed we have a cita with him so we will see what happens there! =D
We also got to meet another kid this week! He is Ezequiel. He is the brother of a member! He just barely turned 9 and he isn’t baptized yet. Now the parents are less actives and the kid has some learning problems. He is a great kid though and with the help of his brother it’s really great! =D We have taught him very little but we are going to try and baptize him before i leave! So we will also see what happens there!
So last Monday we had a lot of fun! We went to a park and we rented bikes and roller blades and we were just hanging out! It was a lot of fun!! I’ll send the pics! And then this week we had the activity with the whole mission! We are lucky that the size of our mission is small. And so whenever you are in the mission you can get to the mission office in less than 2 hours. And so we have the privilege to get together as a mission! We went to this school where the president’s kids go to school and they have a  couple big soccer fields and a big theater room and everything! And so we watched some videos and learned a bit about the mission and the church history here in Argentina! (Which where we went last week is where they dedicated Argentina and all of South America for the missionary work! o that’s pretty cool). And then we had a soccer tournament! We won the first game because I was the goalie and it went to penalty kicks and I blocked the goals!!! Haha! But then we lost! = ( oh well it was fun! we ate hamburgers and then we watched Meet the Mormons! oh and J played basketball with some elders! they were really tall! but it was fun!!

Well I’m excited for this week and ready to work hard! Thank you for all you do and I’ll be seeing ya all in about 3 weeks! Love you!
